Compostable Makeup Brushes
This July, NVEY ECO is launching its new Eco Friendly Makeup Brush Range that incorporates the first-ever certified compostable makeup brush handle. Handles are made of a corn resin that are certified as “ok compost,” which is a much greener approach than using renewable materials, such as bamboo, for brush handles.

To compost the brush handles you have three options:
- Mail your brushes back to NVEY Eco’s headquarters and receive a 20 percent discount on future orders. NVEY Eco will separate and send the brush handles to an industrial composting facility.
- Go to the NVEY ECO website to find your nearest industrial composting center. (Will be live in the next few weeks.)
- Dispose of the brushes in the compost in your back yard, cutting off the hairs first. The handle breaks down – going back to the earth – being decomposed largely through aerobic decomposition.
