Sometimes celebrities get a bad rap for speaking their minds, and even for just being who they are, instead of what everyone else wants them to be. However, more often than not, celebrities are committed to helping the environment and the people around them. With that in mind we are taking a look at what they are tweeting in relation to their fellow man and the planet. Below, are some select tweets by celebrities who are reaching out to their fans, followers and Mother Earth!
1. “Glee” starlet and horse advocate for PETA, Lea Michele (@msleamichele)tweeted how we can give carriage horses a break and use an eco-friendly method instead:

2. One of the rising stars on Bravo’s “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” Greg Bennett (@greggybennett)showed love for his dog Deloris and all other pets this Halloween:

3. First off, congrats are in order for the “Supernatural” actor Jared Padalecki (@jarpad) and his wife who are expecting their first child! In response to people’s congratulations, Jared prefers people to help others less fortunate, rather than receiving gifts himself:

4. “The Vampire Diaries” hunk Ian Somerhalder (@iansomerhalder) is the go to guy when it comes to benefitting the environment and its animals. He is always showing eco-love like he did this week:

5. Lead singer of Maroon 5 and eco-enthusiast Adam Levine (@adamlevine) sang his praises for taking care of the earth through his Twitter page:
