Sometimes celebrities get a bad rap for speaking their minds, and even for just being who they are, instead of what everyone else wants them to be. However, more often than not, celebrities are committed to helping the environment and the people around them. With that in mind we are taking a look at what they are tweeting in relation to their fellow man and the planet. Below, are some select tweets by celebrities who are reaching out to their fans, followers and Mother Earth!

 


1. America Ferrera

2. Candice Accola

Candice Accola tweets about how her short shower benefits the planetCandice Accola, who plays beloved vampire Caroline on the CW’s “The Vampire Diaries,” posted this sarcastic tweet, but still showing that shorter showers are better for the planet.

3. Rob Thomas

Rob Thomas shares his love for rescue dogs on TwitterMatchbox Twenty singer, Rob Thomas, showed his love to rescue pets on his Twitter page this week. In addition to the post below, he also posted pictures of his own rescue dogs.

4. Edward Norton
