Vegan and former Ironman triathlete Brendan Brazier is getting recognized for his green influences across the country by California’s International Green Industry Hall of Fame.
This past March, Brazier, along with eight other honorees, was inducted into the California-based Green Industry Hall of Fame that recognizes people and organizations for their green good deeds.
“It is an organization that was founded quite some time ago dedicated to recognizing individuals and organizations for excellence in the green industry,” Sam Giel, founder of the International Green Industry Hall of Fame, told Eco News network.
For years Brazier has gone above and beyond to make a name for himself in the green business world. From his Vega products to his Thrive books to his Thrive Forward web series to his Thrive Foods Direct food delivery business to his ZoN fitness program, Brazier gives back to the planet in a variety of ways.
“The most important thing that Brendan does is the work he does to get the word out from an educational perspective. He’s actually walking the talk in terms of what he does,” Giel said. “It’s the total package with Brendan. He’s not just advocating, but he’s also involved in the commerce of the green industry.”
Brazier is thrilled for his induction, “It’s certainly an honor to be inducted into the International Green Hall of Fame. I’m also honored that the California state legislature officially recognizes the induction.
“But, what pleases me most is the increased general understanding that what we eat has a significant impact on environmental resource usage. Eating a plant-based diet is the single greatest influence each of us can have on resource conservation, and clearly that message is getting out.”
We send a huge congratulations Brendan’s way!
