Sometimes celebrities get a bad rap for speaking their minds, and even for just being who they are, instead of what everyone else wants them to be. However, more often than not, celebrities are committed to helping the environment and the people around them. With that in mind we are taking a look at what they are tweeting in relation to their fellow man and the planet. Below, are some select tweets by celebrities who are reaching out to their fans, followers and Mother Earth!
1. Tia Mowry
Tia Mowry is one of the newest vegan advocates. She constantly tweets vegan tips and shares stories about her plant-based adventure. She also promotes recycling and loving our planet.

2. Ian Somerhalder
“The Vampire Diaries” actor, hunk and environmentalist Ian Somerhalder tweeted about deforestation and this adorable koala bear who is lost without his home.

3. Mike Bloomberg
Mike Bloomberg aka New York City’s mayor is no stranger to protecting the environment. Most recently, he announced New York residents can now recycle rigid plastics, along with other plastic products.

4. Rebecca Field
Rebecca Field (left) currently stars on Lifetime’s “The Client List,” alongside Jennifer Love Hewitt. Just like her job, she seems to be very passionate about the planet and focuses on how others take care of it.
