Holiday Golf Gift: Eco Golf Balls

November 26, 2015

The holidays are a time for golfers to build up on goodies that they can fawn over until the snow clears. Give them something sustainable to fantasize about with a set of golf balls or apparel from Dixon Golf. As part of our greener giving series, today we feature sustainable golf gear from Dixon Golf, which is having huge sales this weekend!

If sustainability is the green, Dixon is taking out the driver with their U.S. Green Building Certified Headquarters, which is outfitted a roof garden, solar panels for electricity and water heating, and a number of other energy efficiency measures designed to cut energy consumption by 48%. They have excellent short-game, too. Day-to-day at Dixon Golf involves recyclable office supplies, paperless communication and public transportation.

The goal at Dixon is to reduce the use of normal golf balls with heavy metal centers by offering rock-salt core, eco-friendly balls and to encourage greener golf wear with chemical-free bamboo and cotton apparel. For each of their items featuring the Trees Beyond Green icon, every purchase equals a tree planted with the Arbor Day Foundation.

Their golf balls aren’t just eco-friendly, they’re high-quality. When the PGA TOUR Partners Club independently tested the Dixon Earth, they found it was better than several Nike, Calloway and Titleist balls, and gave it a 92% Approval Rating.

BlackFridayFlash_IndividualAds_EmailGolfBallsThough the Dixon Earth is the best choice for the average golfer, Dixon also offers the Wind, Fire and Spirit, each suited for a particular style of play. Between Black Friday at midnight and Cyber Monday at 10pm these balls, and all other Dixon products, will be half-off! If you spend more than one hundred dollars on your Dixon spree, they’ll give you free shipping and a watch!

If Dad already has enough golf stuff to last a lifetime, but still somehow doesn’t have a decent winter jacket, our post about Nau and Outerwear can help you fix that.
