Here are two cutting-edge environmentally-conscious brands we found on Ecouterre for the giving season. Sustainable style comes in many shapes and sizes, so you’ll be able to find something just right for your favorite guy. Today’s Greener Giving brands are Outerknown and Nau, which incorporate sustainable principles from the fabrics to the fill.
Everyone wants to be warm when the chill is bearing down, but that shouldn’t keep us from enjoying the outdoors, or getting out and about to show off our style. Kelly Slater’s new brand, Outerknown, is as fresh as it gets style-wise, but also eco-conscious. For example, their ECONYL material is 100% recycled nylon and the fill they use is 100% recycled polyester. This is high-quality, high-integrity men’s fashion, but if you know someone who would appreciate it, or if you would appreciate if someone upped their swagger, check out Outerknown’s jackets, sweatshirts and sweaters.
Sustainable doesn’t have to mean hemp or hand-me-downs. Sustainable can mean luxury, comfort, warmth and wearable confidence. Nau, based in Portland Oregon, are about sustainability from start to finish. Nau donates 2% of their profits to organizations that promote sustainability through conservation, efficient transportation and human rights, like EcoTrust, People for Bikes, and Mercy Corps.
Nau uses sustainable fabrics like organic cotton and sustainable fills such as their synthetic insulation that combines coconut husks and recycled polyester. The company is clearly innovative and if you check out the clothing they offer you will find that they are stylish, too.
If your man is a hiker or a music-lover, maybe this post will be of more help.
