Filtration System Providing Clean and Refreshing Water

Everyone knows they should be drinking at least eight glasses of water a day. What most people don’t think about is the water quality of those eight glasses. When it comes to what you are putting in your body, health should your main concern – that’s where the Zuvo Water Filtration System comes in.

Connecting easily and quickly to most standard faucets the Zuvo Water Filtration System provides clean, healthy, great tasting water right from your tap.  And for those of you who prefer an under-counter installation, don’t worry. Zuvo can be easily installed under the counter and connected to a Zuvo Beverage Faucet.

So what’s so great about Zuvo?

“The Zuvo Water Filtration System recreates nature’s process by cleansing tap water with a patented process that combines ultraviolet light, ozone and filtration. Just like nature,” said Ray Brown, vice president of sales and marketing for Zuvo.

Using a five-step process combining ozonation, ultraviolet light, photo-oxidation, filtration and post-filtration UV, the Zuvo Filtration System cleans the water and minimizes the potential risk of contaminants, while improving taste.

According to Brown, “the Zuvo Water Filtration System’s multi-step cleansing process removes 99 percent or more of the following: lead, chlorine taste and odor, non-pathogenic microorganisms, cysts and particulates.”

The Filtration System starts out by mixing ozone, a powerful oxidizer, with incoming tap water to help improve the taste.  And the beauty of ozone is, unlike chlorine, it leaves no chemical residue. During the second step, the water is exposed to a high-intensity UV light.  This mimics the solar energy that cleans the water in the upper atmosphere.

After that, the Zuvo Water Filtration system uses a patented process known as photo-oxidation to release oxidizers, again treating the water to insure clean, great tasting water. The next step in creating pure spring water is filtration. Zuvo passes the water through a Class 1 Particulate Reduction Filter. This filtration achieves the same results as passing water through fine particles in the Earth. Finally, the water is once again exposed to high-intensity UV light. The final product produces healthy and great tasting water right from your tap.

“Unlike reverse osmosis systems, water cleansed by the Zuvo Water Filtration System retains the healthy minerals and oxygen that are essential to great taste,” said Brown.

If the health benefits aren’t enough to convince you maybe the financial benefits will. Zuvo water costs approximately $0.06 per gallon compared to $0.25 per gallon for a Brita Faucet and $0.20 per gallon for PUR Faucet. Zuvo filters last longer (500 gallons) than pitcher filters, and are self-cleaning.

An additional bonus, the Zuvo Water Filtration System only uses two filters a year and the company even helps you recycle your old filters.  Zuvo is an eco-friendly alternative to water-wasting reverse osmosis systems and plastic bottles.

In an Eco News Network taste test, 90 percent of those who were given two glasses of water: one directly from the tap and another from the Zuvo Water Filtration System selected the Zuvo water as the better tasting. No science here, but it did seem to make a difference.
