NBC’s ‘Revolution’ Envisions a World without Electricity

September 17, 2012

NBC's 'Revolution' envisions a world without electricityThe world relies heavily on electricity. Take one second to imagine a world without it. That means no Smartphones, no TV, no lights, no refrigerator and many other “no’s” when it comes to anything that needs power.

Kind of scary, isn’t it? Well, NBC’s new show “Revolution” envisions just that. Created and produced by Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”) and J.J. Abrams (“Lost”), the show focuses on a family struggling to survive in a technology-less America, all while looking into the mysterious blackout.

The show stars some fabulous actors such as Billy Burke (“Twilight”), Giancarlo Esposito (“Once Upon a Time”) and Elizabeth Mitchell (“Lost”).

It really makes you think, “How would we live without electricity, a basic necessity of life?”

Do you think we could survive and would the planet end up better or worse than it is today?

The concept is very intriguing. Catch the pilot here, before it even airs on TV. If you can’t watch it online, “Revolution” premieres tonight on NBC at 10 p.m. EST.
