Hot (or cold) apple cider is a staple throughout the fall months, but what if you want to drink a healthier version? We are here to the rescue! Here’s how to make your very own organic apple cider! Now, we can’t take all the credit, but you can thank Organic Authority for this delicious recipe.
Hot Organic Apple Cider
16-18 whole cloves
8 small organic apples, such as gala
2 oranges, thinly sliced
2 quarts organic apple juice (fresh organic apple juice, if you can find it, is the best)
1/4 cup raw sugar
1 teaspoon allspice
cinnamon sticks, for garnish
Stud apples with cloves. In a large pot, combine remaining ingredients except for the cinnamon sticks. Bring to a simmer over low heat. Simmer for about 10-12 minutes. Remove from heat.
Ladle cider into mugs and garnish with a cinnamon stick and serve.
All that’s left for you to do is sip and enjoy!
